Wrigley Clean Team is a grassroots group of people who want to see the Wrigley neighborhood sparkle, founded with the help of an NPP grant in 2014. They host regular regular cleanups along our busiest corridors and help to keep Wrigley beautiful. Follow them on Facebook or shoot them an email to find out how to get involved!
Like free stuff? Have something you need to get rid of, but think someone else could use it? Then this Facebook group is for you. The Buy Nothing project has come to Wrigley, and it hosts a marketplace of free items on Facebook. The only rules are that you have to live in Wrigley / Westside Long Beach, and everything given or received MUST be free. No money can be exchanged, and you cannot offer items for trade. It’s all free! Submit a request to join the group on facebook today!

Have you ever walked through our neighborhood and marveled at a neighbor’s front garden? Well chances are they got paid to change out their front lawn for a garden, and you can too! Enroll in Long Beach’s famous Lawn to Garden program, and you can not only get paid to swap your grass for a garden, you can even use the money to pay for someone else to do the designing and planting for you. Do you know someone experiencing homelessness and want a way to help? Contact the Long Beach Multi-Service Center, operated by the LB Department of Health & Human Services. They offer outreach services, intake and assessment services, case management, as well as referrals to shelters and other social service programs. Find out more here!
