The Daisy Lane Christmas Parade was conceived of in 1953 by Gertrude Whittle, who originally worked with the Long Beach City Council and Council of Churches to decorate a strip of grass in Wrigley that was once a stretch of the Pacific Electric Railway System, called The Daisy Greenbelt. Today the parade is organized in collaboration between the Seventh District, WANA, and Maria Norvell, the “Mother of Christmas Tree Lane”.
The 2024 Daisy Lane Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 5:00 PM.
In 2019, Wrigley resident Bill White cooked up an idea to host a pie baking contest in his backyard for a small group of neighbors. In the years since then the pie baking contest has grown, bringing in more pies and more neighbors with each year. Not a cook? All who taste-test get to judge! To stay in the loop on the next pie baking contest follow Wrigley on facebook or sign up for our newsletter in the footer of this page. May the best pie win!
